Bridget Jones's Diary is a 1996 novel by Helen Fielding. Written in the form of a personal diary. The movie, Bridget Jones’ Diary shares the life of a thirty-something single working woman living in London. She writes about her career, self-image, vices, family, friends, and romantic relationships… the good and the bad. Renee Zellweger is a dream in this movie, she is unforgettably perfect as Bridget and embodies the pure essence of the character. She looks, walks and talks t

Coco is a beautifully crafted piece of storytelling, emotional, nostalgic and sentimental. Coco (2017) is a family adventure movie which will break your heart and piece it back together again, one of the most touching and uniquely told Disney stories to date. I beautiful depiction of Mexican tradition and heritage which can enlighten so many audience members, Coco is a respectful and honorary movie which brings the Day of the Dead festival into all of our homes. A vibrant, bo

One of the greatest slapstick comedies ever made? Easily. With talks of a potential remake of this classic 80s comedy, I wish whoever stars in it pure luck, they’re going to need it. Clue (1985) is a staple piece of comedy, a unique and truly magnificent piece of cinema. Every time I watch it I genuinely laugh out loud, the actors all play their roles perfectly and I cannot imagine this film cast or performed in any other way. Clue is a sacred comedy, one which should not be

Bohemian Rhapsody was an absolute knockout when it reached the cinemas, a story that audiences have begged to see on screen for years was finally upon us. I truly emotional, respectful and insightful piece of cinema which I thoroughly enjoy watching over and over again. This isn’t just a biopic, this film is a dramatised version of the story we all think we know and I enjoyed that they added some embellishments and made Queen’s story their own. This is a cinematic masterpiece

Monty Python were a British comedy troupe who brought some of the funniest and most referenced pieces of comedy to screen. Life of Brian is no exception, a hilarious tale of Brian who is mistaken for the messiah and harassed by locals. The story may appear to be a loud and obnoxious comment on religion but in fact, Life of Brian is far from it. This movie is for audiences who don’t take life too seriously, some jokes have not aged too well but some I still quote to this very

This movie is the highest rated Thor movie for very good reason, Taikia Waititi hit the nail on the head with this superhero flick. He brought the action, the comedy but most importantly the story! We meet Hela in this feature, played by Cate Blanchett who is easily one of the greatest villains brought into the MCU to date. I adore this movie, it is easily one of the most re-watchable and quotable Marvel movies. Thor Ragnarok never fails to bring a smile to my face and make m

It is my goal for 2023 to review 100 of my favourite films of all time. Welcome to the Filmprobe Top 100 list... With all the Star Wars movies to choose from I will always return to the original, the one that started it all. Although, I am a huge fan of the Disney movies the original trilogy will always win. Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977), directed by George Lucas, music composed by John Williams, movies simply aren’t made this good anymore. Who knew all the potent
