Film Probe Daily Picks #10 Promising Young Woman (2020), directed by Emerald Fennell is an extremely thought provoking account of the female experience and the concept of revenge. This film blew me away the first time I watched it and every time since then, this is a deeply intelligent commentary on female rage, misogyny, abuse, revenge and gender roles. Cassandra is a young woman who is traumatised by a tragic event in her past. She seeks out vengeance against those who wro

Film Probe Daily Picks #5 The one that started it all, The Lost Boys (1987) is the holy grail of vampire movies. For those who love the occult, this film is one of the first of its kind. It changed the vampire genre forever, sexy teen vampires in leather jackets and rocking one earring. Without The Lost Boys, we wouldn’t have Twilight.
