Film Probe Daily Picks #12

A nostalgic explosion of puppetry, magic and David Bowie’s very tight tights. Labyrinth (1986) is a fantastical feature that follows young Sarah and her journey through the maze to save her baby brother from the wicked goblin king. This film is undeniably mesmerising, from Jim Henson’s puppets to the eerily catchy soundtrack - everything in this film is captivating immersive.

Sure, I may be slightly biased as I have a deep rooted love for this film. It manages to make me smile every single time I watch it and in moments of sadness I can always turn to this film for a little pick me up.

It may be silly, it may be a little dated but I will always recommend Labyrinth to those who want a little fun in their life, Bowie alone is the primary reason to watch this film - he is a star.
