Today is a Film Probe TV Pick, I wanted to change things up! If you’re a fan of Dexter then I’m sure you’re already watching Dexter: Resurrection (2025) but for those of you who haven’t this is a long running tv show that might be the watch for the run up to halloween. I know it’s August but I want it to be October already, haha! 🎃

Dexter (2006-2013) is a crime drama that centres around Dexter Morgan, a forensic technician specialising in blood splatter analysis but leads a double life as a vigilante serial killer. He hunts down murderers to seek justice and answer to the killer urge inside him. Since the original series we have seen three spin offs including Dexter: New Blood (2022), Dexter: Original Sin (2024) and now Dexter: Resurrection (2025). 

Although it may seem like a lot to recommend on a Monday morning… Dexter is one of those characters who you cannot help but fall in love with. Despite being a serial killer, Dexter is a loveable, awkward person who believes he is doing the right thing and it is beyond exciting to see him on screen again. If you fancy starting a long running series, Dexter may just be a perfect fit for you. It’s dark, it’s intense and resurrection is one of the best seasons ever!
