Promised as a love letter to classic silent movies, Fool’s Paradise instead attempts to bring modern humour to a timeless style of comedy, with little success. A down-on-his-luck publicist discovers a former mental health patient who looks just like a misbehaving movie star. He soon becomes an unlikely celebrity when he gets thrown into the bright lights and behind-the-scenes bustle of Hollywood. What felt like a disjointed arrangement of sketches, this film lacked any substa

Rachel Zegler’s Snow White To Be Shelved Indefinitely? Disney’s Snow White Remake (2024) The film on everybody’s lips is none other than Disney’s newly reimagined Snow White. Sadly, this film is the talk of the town for all the wrong reasons. The sense of growing resentment towards the upcoming 2024 Snow White has gotten even louder since David Hand, who happens to be the son of one of the directors of the 1937 animated classic Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, spoke out. Run Rabbit Run is a psychological thriller with a number of compelling moments but as a whole, this film is rather unoriginal and somewhat threadbare. Typical ghost story tropes were used throughout which left little to the imagination, I could predict the sinister ending from the first moment we met these characters. There is no doubt this film is executed well, directed and filmed with precision but nonetheless, these elements didn’t distract from the minimal and enigmatic

Step Brothers is a goofy comedy which delivers some of the most slapstick and overtly ridiculous displays of humour. The films central storyline is hilarious, following the surreal lives of Brennan and Dale who are forced to get alone with one another. The story is strong but in reality, this film would be nothing without the presence of Ferrell and Riley, the two actors in the core roles completely dominate this film and make it the comedy classic it is today. Ferrell and Ri

JoJo Rabbit is a brilliant example of genius filmmaking, not being afraid to approach a certain topic through the lens of satire and comedy yet displaying the upmost respect and intelligence on said topic. JoJo Rabbit from the outside is simply a war movie but once you start watching you realise it is so much more than that. Centred around young JoJo who is conflicted about his place in the world as a Hitler Youth cadet. This film was brought to life from the brilliant mind o
