An anthology series which shows us a series of uniquely individual stories, hosted by the mastermind of the weirdly wonderful, Guillermo Del Toro. This series showcases what Del Toro does best, this show embodies everything he is made off and if you enjoy his aesthetic and genre style, you’ll enjoy this. I will say, out of the eight episodes I only truly enjoyed two of them, Episode one and Episode four. Both of these felt a little darker, more sinister and had a genuinely in

We see these children go on a true journey of self discovery and overcome issues within their lives. We see these four friends

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989) is not usually the first Indiana Jone’s movie people think of but to me, this is by far the only Indiana Jone’s movie I picture when I hear the that name. Harrison Ford alongside Sean Connery brings some of the best one liners to the franchise and some of my favourite moments between the pair. In 1912, a teenage Indiana Jones discovers a group of robbers finding a crucifix owned by Coronado while exploring caves with his Boy Scout tr

Encanto (2021) is a beautifully vibrant and bold Disney movie with unforgettable musical renditions from the highly acclaimed Lin Manuel Miranda. Encanto showcases a broad sense of reality and inclusivity, giving us some of the relatable and diverse characters we’ve seen from Disney in a long time. The primary reason this movie belongs on my top 100 list is the music, the music throughout this film is like a virus. Once you catch it you can’t let it go, it overpowers you with

Are you a fan of 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia'? This hit sitcom series that's been running for a whopping 15 seasons since 2005 and currently filming season 16. Well, if you are you must have heard of their podcast, the three leads of the show have taken it upon themselves to start a podcast which episodically discusses each episode of the show from their point of view. Staring Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day and Glenn Howerton the It's Always Sunny Podcast has been a god s

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002) is the second instalment in the world renowned Harry Potter franchise, The story follows Harry's second year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where the Heir of Salazar Slytherin opens the Chamber of Secrets. Harry Potter is a nostalgic and comforting franchise to return to as an adult, the characters are whimsical and the stories are always magical and compelling. This second movie has to be my personal favourite an

9 to 5 (1980) is one of those unsung comedy heroes, a true shining star for female comedy actors looking to learn from some of the best. Tomlin, Parton and Fonda absolutely nail their roles within this feature and bring some of the most hilarious comedic acting from that decade. When I originally watched this film I had no idea for the plot or overall narrative, going into this film completely blind was such a gift because of the pure shock and excitement I felt when the narr

Oh how I wish the future was the way the film represented it, how cool would it have been if we had flying cars, self tying shoes and hover boards? After watching Back to the Future (1985) as a child I fell absolutely in love with the story, a true depiction of cinema having no bounds or restrictions. Time travel represented in its finest way, through comedy and fantastic storytelling. Back to the Future (1985) is timeless, every time I think about this film it brings a smile

Did you know Tim Burton’s Mars Attacks! only made 1 million at the box office? Did you know it was considered a flop and got incredibly mixed reviews from critics at the time? Neither did I and I am absolutely shocked after learning this. Mars Attacks! is a uniquely devised Burton classic which incorporates some of his better know techniques and displays his quirky approach to filmmaking. I remember seeing Mars Attacks! for the fist time and being completely blown away by the

They simply don’t make films like this anymore, we no longer have stars like Judy Garland and practical affects are slowly being pushed off our screens. The Wizard of Oz is one of the most mystical, magical movie to have ever been created. A true monument of cinema and a true depiction and living proof of how unique and groundbreaking movies can be. In this classic musical fantasy, Judy Garland stars as Dorothy Gale, a young Kansas farm girl who dreams of a land somewhere ove
