Why 'Get Away' (2024) Is a Bad Movie and Not Worth Your Time

Directed by: Steffen Haars

Available on: Sky Movies

A remote getaway takes an unexpected turn when a family discovers the island that they're on is inhabited by an unwelcoming community.

Get Away (2025) had a promising cast and a somewhat intriguing plot for a few minutes but sadly this film took a rapid downwards spiral. This film was predictable, boring and most of all badly written. Usually when I see Nick Frost’s name attached to a project I expect something memorable but this was far from it - Get Away (2025) is a film that has little to no character development or layers. The story was one dimensional and at one point I had to check this wasn’t a spoof due to the subpar performances and cliched, unimaginative conclusion. It’s as though Frost watched Midsommar and Psycho and thought, I can do that but in reality, this film was a dud.
