Jennifer Lawrence is Naughty in No Hard Feelings (2023) | Film Review

On the brink of losing her childhood home, a desperate woman agrees to date a wealthy couple's introverted and awkward 19-year-old son. However, he proves to be more of a challenge than she expected, and time is running out before she loses it all.

No Hard Feelings (2023) is surprisingly worthwhile. Although, Jennifer Lawrence usually finds a way to save a film from being boring. This film is a feel-good feature that sees a relationships journey from potential lovers to inseparable friends, a spin on the typical girl next door story; though, Lawrence plays an unhinged party animal which zero boundaries. She parades around the film with flair and true charisma, she exceeds all expectations and delivers a truly hilarious character like no other, I feel as though the character of Maddie is the closest to Lawrence’s reality. 

No Hard Feelings (2023) is a simplistic story with little complexity, this film feels as though it came out 20 years ago. The atmosphere feels wrong but the performances make you want to continue, the subject matter is hilariously inappropriate but nonetheless, you don’t care once you start watching Jennifer Lawrence. 

No Hard Feelings (2023) is dynamic and unusually sweet, with a handful of soft moments thrown in between the utter chaos of Maddie’s life. This film was easily a fun experience from beginning to end, slapstick moments in between genuine charm and comedy. I highly recommend this film if you’re up for a simple, care free laugh with a little bit of naughtiness.
